Dr. Baldassarre Conticello

Baldassarre Conticello has been Superintendent of Pompeii from 1984 to 1994, where he introduced for the systematic employment of modern technologies such as photogrammetry and paleobotany.

He has directed numerous  archaeological excavations in Libya.
