I did not take your comments as offensive. So if in the above post
transcript, you were intending to apologize for any perceived antagonism, I
think it is un-needed.
I think you're right when you mention "not at all times and not in all

No, amice, I didn't aim that at anyone actually. It's just a way of
saying
that I'm ready for any differences in "research" or plain differences of
opinion.
I would like to hear other people' thoughts on the topic. On any topic
about
Roman Studies. If we pass enough thoughts back and forth we might even
work up
with some that are accurate. If *nobody* on our list disagrees with me
I will be
heartily surprised. I might even have to get my heart checked.
(And keep telling myself, "Remember, thou art mortal.")
