Actually the old room still exists, I checked yesterday out of curiosity.

I don't think that those felows have not gotten to the fort yet.
Actually it is in prretty bad shape. Mike Bishop visited it and has a
nice story about it together with pictures on it's own web page. I made
a copy of the web page, and wrote a messge to Mike congratulating him on
it. As I said earlier the only inhabitants were some animals laired up
in one of the towers. Mike prudently left them alone and investigated
the rest of the fort.

All we need is a few Nubians (200 or so) to put the place back together,
and when the overser's have completed the task to my specifications I
can take command. I figure we can use the Jewels from the Lost City of
Opar (Tarzen's old hangout) to get the work done. Recruit 3 or 4,000
Italians that are currently out of work, and In no time we'll have a
legion and fort that a Tribune can be proud of! You want to come along
for the ride? Of course you will have to help with picking up the Opar
trinkets. We can bring Dex along for the bait to get the animals out of
the tower and we'll be home free. What's left over from the Opar
Treasure we'll let Nova Roma use as capitol at 13 % interest. All it
takes is a little imagination!

I don't know about Dex, but I'm with you. And maybe I can recruit other 1000
of Lusitanian unemployed ;). And we just had to promise them a few magrebean
beauties.
They would make the Cohors Augusta Praetoria Lusitanorum Equitata, which
served precisely in the north of Africa.

Vale!

Well then it's settled! Meet me at the entrance to Opar City in about
say three months time (That will give me time to row across the
Atlantic) and we will sweep the continent (at least the Sahara part).
Last chance Dex; we could put your bearskins and flint knives to good
use! Deer bones too! We could probably get one of those magrebean
beauties apiece that Antonius Gryilus Graecus was talking about. You
know, a girl in every port. My Naval Training is beginning to come back
already! We might even have time for a side trip to King Soloman's
mines!

Only if those Coyotes you describe are 6 feet tall, have blond hair and blue

Ok...ok...I'll settle for 5'10", brown hair, any color eyes, and a body no

I don't think we will move back to Talk City; I would never join a

Salvete quirites!

If you need any help, it shouldn't take me too long to row the
channell, trek across Europe and then row across the Med.

(Carrying my coracle on my back of course!)

Just give us a call when you set off!

I volunteer to join you two in this mission, if we can rebuild the relic in
my backyard.

That would save me the time and trouble of designing a proper Roman edifice.

Best of luck,

There is a great temple in the middle of the Lybian Desert! I'll bet we
could get that for next to nothing. By the time the Lybian Government
found out what was going on, you could have finished a nap in a hammock
hanging between two of the pillars!

There is also agreat Roman Fort with a road right up to it in the
Sahara. The only ones using it are a nest of desert cyotes or some
such. We could use Dex as bait, get the cyotes out and we've got the
beginnings of my file of marines!

How about it Dex? are you up for it?
