Salvete!

Does anyone know about a form of witchcraft that had its' origin in Italy. I heard
that there is one, but I'm having difficulties finding information about it.

I just recently had a hypnosis client who suffers from migraines. She
told me that she had always had them, and it was so bad when she was a
teenager (40 years ago) that her mother took her to a woman called "Nona
(grandma) d'China". I am guessing about the spelling, and whether this
had anything to do with China is anyone's guess. But she said the woman
chanted over her in a darkened room filled with statues and pictures,
and that everyone in the Italian community knew her. Needless to say,
the poor woman still gets migraines, but I thought her description of a
traditional healer very interesting.
