Some things of interest (which haven't been noted here yet) from the latest
edition of my (free) Explorator newsletter:

]|[ The University of Chicago's Chronicle has a piece on the Oriental
Institute's efforts to get Persian inscriptions on line (thanks to Charles
Jones for the heads up):

]|[ Il Messaggero is today reporting on the (re)discovery of a third
century Roman domus first seen by Lanciani:

/ARCHEO.htm>

]|[ Il Messaggero also has a piece on the ongoing debate on how the Fori
Imperiali area should be treated:

/TERNI.htm>

]|[ Last Sunday's Weekend Edition Saturday featured an interview with
Elaine Fantham about the Roman god Janus (requires RealPlayer):

Salvete omnes!

For the interested cyber-archaeologists, there is a conference on the subject. This year that will be in Cardiff, UK.

Yes....that is correct, the Hospital has just called me, as per Crys. I
had a conversation with Crys earlier and she thought her water had
broke....but she was not certain. I called her Fiance, Don, and he
called her. And I have been notified by the Hospital about 10 min ago
that she has been admitted. I will keep everyone informed as soon as I
receive updates. But, it seems now to be official....she is in Labor.
Please keep her and Lapis in your prayers.

Bye for now

Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Praetor Urbanis
