Fellow Citizens,
I am writing in hopes that each of you will take a few minutes to pray to
the God or Goddess of your choice and ask for help with my sister, Lora.
She was undergoing tests yesterday and was rushed to the emergency room. Her
condition was serious enough to be admitted to the hospital. The doctors
are still trying to figure out what is wrong with her.
Some of you have chatted with her on the ICQ and for those of you who
haven't I can only say she is a wonderful person who has devoted her life to
helping others. She is an Emergency Medical Technician, Firefighter and 911
Dispatcher and mother to two doggies. Some of you that have visited the
Grand Canyon in the 80's and 90's might have actually met her.
Any healing vibes you can send to Lora and her husband, Rich are greatly
appreciated. I plan on forwarding any e-mails to them to let them know they
aren't as alone as they probably feel in Florida.
Thanks for listening to a stressed out older sister who can't magically fix
things.

Actually, Sulla's and Graecus' proposal is only the fourth, unless I missed
one, and I don't think that that would have happened. And since the comitia
have not yet been formed, it is hardly too late to add another proposal or
modify an existing one. You should also note that their proposal deals with
the creation of three comitia, as specified in the constitution, not for a
single "Comitia Populi Tributa", solely your device within the context of
Nova Roma.
If something

Yes that's true. Perhaps you could adduce reasoning as to why this aspect
of the proposal warrants a change.

Yes, I think that you're right. I think that we can alll plainly read that
the constiution establishes the tribunate. Noone can touch it until the
comitia are formed. And even then, to remove the tribunate would
effectively prevent us from re-building a Roman form of government.
3)My proposal
:for the Assembly is an organic one, that is, it can
:grow and expand to the point where it fits into the
:Constitution securely while at the same time allowing
:Nova Roma room to expand and make any necessary
:adjustments that might be required.
I think that that concept has merit, but don't you think that Nova Roma
should try first to implement the constitution as written? Article IV calls
for 3 comitia and specifies which magistrates can summon each. Your
proposal, which I was grateful to have the chance to read and which I don't
mean to disparage in the least, substantially did away with those
constitutional provisions.
This latest
:proposal, while trying to hammer out the 'chapter and
:verse' routine, actually is calling for rewriting the
:Constitution.
No, that isn't so. Their proposal would create 3 comitia as called for in
the constitution, and leaves the functions of the comitia entirely to the
constitution. Your proposal is the one that essentially re-writes the
constitution.
It is inflexible and if implamented
:will likely reduce the Comitia Populi Tributa to a
:quagmire.

Conference has been in session for more than a year, managed through one of
my personal email addresses. I am in the process of moving the Conference,

I want to thank everyone who offered a prayer for my sister, Lora. The
doctors think she had a ruptured cyst but are still at a loss to diagnose
some of her other problems. She is being released this afternoon and just
wants to go home.
Please continue the good vibes since she is still sick but at least stable
enough to go home to her own bed.
I really do appreciate the effort.
