Salvete!

I received this notice from a friend named Ian
MacWatt, who is a priest of Isis in California, and
asked me to pass it on to interested parties - thought
there must be a few on this list who would like to see
it.

Valete,
Aprica

I think it's cool! (Especially "support our Troops"!)
I like the way you have different segments for re-enactments, antiquities, historical research, and role-
playing games. Definitely something for everybody! I only got one page though...are you planning on
more? Keep us all posted.

Subject: Blessing for use at meals?

Salvete omnes!

The custom of "saying grace" at meals is an old one, but I've never seen
a prayer or blessing that fits with the Religio.

Is anyone aware of a Roman meal blessing that would fit here? Or has
anyone created one (preferably in Latin, of course)?

If so, please share.

L. Sergius Aust.

Salvete Luci Sergi et alii

It's not a "real" blessing, I did not find it through research or anything,
and it's (maybe too) simple, but I've used

O Di Immortales ago vobis gratias pro hoc cibo

I thank You Immortal Gods for this food.

The nice thing about it, too, is that it is short, and can be said softly
and quickly, without drawing a lot of attention, and so can be done most
said most anywhere.

Valete

Gaius Marius Merullus

Salve Gaius Marius

I like it. Thanks for sharing it with me.
