Salve!

I have read the information about your organization at www.novaroma.org and
find it quite fascinating. I have joined the list in order to help decide
if I should become a citizen.

Should I send an introductory message to the list? If so, should I sign
with a 'Roman' name?

Thank you.

M.J.

Salve!

I need help on this: What where in ancient Rome the most important war
units in Iberian Peninsula (now Spain and Portugal). What I need is the
names and a brief description of the units.

In particular, was any unit specific of Lusitania province?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the list M.J.
Salve!

I hope that you find the list and Nova Roma worth you while. It is a good list. It goes
from serious to silly and, yes, there is the occasional flame war, but on the whole it is
good. You will find out about some of the on going projects (?), and the active people on
this list. If you have time you might find it interesting to check out the Forum Romanum
chatroom, though this has been only sporadically active of late, and the Beseen server is
becoming infamous for its problems. Keep reading the Nova Roma website, there are all
sorts of things tucked into it. As you know, the big thing, our common denominator, is
our pervasive interest in ancient Rome.

An introduction is nice and fun. You don't have to sign such an introduction with a
Roman name unless you want to. A Roman name is required on the citizenship application,
as you know from reading it. If you do send in the application just keep in mind that it
can take some time for the Censores to process it. Nothing to do with your application so
much as the outside world having a higher priority on the time in the day. Roman name or
regular name we all have to remember to sign our messages since the email address doesn't
always tip the reader off to who is saying what. I hope you decide Nova Roma is worth
your time and that you decide to join us all the way.

Welcome to Nova Roma.

Bene vale.
