And for Epicureanism, check out Lucretius' De Rerum Natura
It's not only a wonderful example of didactic poetry, but
also the only pristine source in Latin for the Epicureans'
doctrines.

One must keep the broad picture in mind whilst he reads it,
since the details of atomic theory have become *much* more
clearly defined nowadays. It's still very good despite our
advances in scientific theory.
