In case anyone's interested, I thought I'd copy the list on this upcoming
festival. I'm planning to attend, so if anyone would like more details or
possibly a ride or to caravan, let me know. Also, if you've never heard of
ADF and would like to know more, please contact me or visit the website at
www.adf.org. It's a group much like Nova Roma, but focused more broadly on
Indo-Eurpean cultures and religions.

I have an ulterior motive for this announcement -- I'd like to see more
Roman folks in ADF. There's too darn many Celts. :-)

Salve Tiberius Claudius!

According to the edictum posted at the aerarium, candidacies for aedilis
plebeium had to be declared until August 23rd at the latest. Lucius Anneus
posted his message on August 26th...a bit too late.

Only my personal opinion as I have no NR title whatsoever
Marcus Marcius Rex
mere citizen

There's no such thing as a "mere" citizen!

And actually, while I would have loved to see more than one candidate for
the vacant Aedile position, the fact that Lucius Anneus didn't make it in in
time for this election could have been worse. At least he can run for the
position in December (and then for a whole year). I sincerely hope he will
(and a couple of others; let's have a real horse-race this year!).

Do you actually read these emails, or do you just criticize anything I say
automatically?

I wasn't quoting your message, whiz-kid. I was quoting Maria Fimbria, who
_did_ suggest an option to vote against candidates. I try not to pay
attention to your posts any more; I already know what's going to be in them;
"Germanicus is wrong!"

If you're going to simply attack everything I post, at least get your facts
straight.

Vale,

Flavius Vedius Germanicus
