You really have not missed anything at all. The NR members in the NE
are in the process of looking into a meeting in our area in
mid-December. This was an outgrowth of some previous discussions in
regard to getting together along the Eastern Seaboard, that did not come
to fruitation.
The intention is simply to meet, have some visiting time together.
perhaps look over a few projects, have a couple of meals together and
head for home. It is a second or third effort to get together in the
NE, and after ourmeeting in Maryland this year seemed like a good idea
to pursue. When I have heard from all those who have been invited and
when we decide on a final time and place I shall notify NR of our plans.
The meeting will be of course open to all NR members who wish to and who
are able to come.

Reply to Olivia Luna
In regards to a get-together, I would hope that one of the agenda items
would be to set up some places around the Northeast where we could meet,
on some knd of rotating basis, so that people who have a long drive one
time will not be so burdened another time. In order to do that each of
the members in the Northeast and ay other province that wishes to enter
into this effort should provide to a central planning point their
favorite "place" where we could meet together with information regarding
the facilities, requirements and like information. By each person
donating that information and a little effort in getting the word out we
could set up two or three meetings a year, wich could in time develop
into regular meetings with specified agendas.
I do not feel comfortable at this point in making a set of decisions
like that without some further input, and I would think that most would
feel the same. By the same token some advance notice is necessary in
which to allow people to adjust thier schedules, or nobody may be ble to
show up for a given meeting which would be difficult to say the least.

Salvete cives
Today is the first day of the Ludi Plebeii.
In the games calendar included in the Web page I've built for the Ludi there
is the following description, taken from the Diccionary of Roman Religion:
"Games that were held November 4-17 in honour of Iuppiter. Entertainment
such as chariot racing was held in the Circus Maximus. The games were
probably established in 220 BC by Gaius Flaminius when was Censor. Only the
Ludi Romani were more important than these games. They were the
responsibility of the Aediles Plebis."

Salvete,
It has proven impossible to contact all the appointed Lictors so that
Imperium may be vested on the current magistrates. However, I have been
assured that the number of "active" Lictors on hand is enough to satisfy
legal requirements.
As Pontifex Maximus, and on behalf of the Pontificial College (who in fact
voted that Imperium should be vested some time ago) I hereby officially
convene the Comitia Centuriata.
A separate off-list Email is being sent to the Lictors in addition to this
message. This post is a separate public announcement, and may be considered
as a last call to any Lictors who are on the books but have been unreachable.
Valete,
Marcus Cassius Julianus

Patricia Cassia;
I know,, we are all very busy, and communication is not always the first
thing we think about. When my wife gets home tonight, I will get the
information about the Motel.
In regard to the pogram, I outlined just some visiting, Lunch and Dinner
Saturday together, perhaps a meeting to consider some projects on
Sunday, and home early Sunday P.M. I really think that for a first time
affair, that I will wis to enjoy meeting new people, and talking with
them. Perhaps some future meeting we could go visit somethig in the
meeting area.

are. We hope that as many will be abl to make the get-together as

get-togethers all over the NE Province and into the Tidewater area as
