Well from what I am aware of....Fabius broke his ankle...recently....and him and I have
been in conversation about the Pompeii exhibit...for about 2 weeks..I have the add here
on my refrigator....Helena and I will be going and that will be an intimate
affair.....but we do plan to have an NR gathering sometime in mid-December...because..it
will be close to Xmas and the Exhibit will be less crowded...the thing is I believe the
Exhibit is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays...So we will have to do most likely a weekend
exhibit...I will be on vacation from Dec 14-23. So hopefully we will be able to plan a
trip during Saturnalia....Fabius thought that would be a good idea....if I am recalling
correctly. Once we have locked up our plans then it will be posted to the
list....Fabius is supposed to get in touch with me by the end of this week for
finalization on his end. Hope this helps.

I am sorry to hear about Fabius's ankle, I guess a busy schedule kept him from responding to
my queries prior to the accident. I think I understand the content of your post. (All
those "ellipses" the three dot breaks) contribute to the confusion of this already less than
crystal clear means of communication (i.e. internet postings). The ellipses signifies that
something is missing from the text and sometimes even this former archeology student is
challenged by the fragments before me...LOL :-) [just as I'm not sure of the spelling of
"ellipses"] On the timing you mention, around, or during, Saturnalia, I think a group
expedition would benefit from advance notice. If things don't firm up according to the
original sketch, then reorder the plan as best works out. Remember: No plan survives
contact with Reality! ;-) By ALL means, give yourself a special trip. Even if some quirk
of schedules excludes a group sortie. If it was at a City museum I would be very defensive
about seeing the old familiar things, and people, with as little distraction as possible.
Like be there when the door opened. Like, make the Star Wars nuts look like slug a beds!
Eh? I saw the Tutankamen exhibit three times, I know what it's like. [sigh]
Take care. Enjoy.
