This sounds interesting. By the way thanks for the
other sites you sent. They were of great help. I'll
send you a copy of the paper once I get it typed.
I have two job interviews this week. I'll let you know
what happens. I paid the rent for March and most of my
bills are currently paid. I have a little breathing
room but not much.
Keep the positive thoughts coming my way.
Hugs,
Gladitrix

There was better coverage of this in the Times last week (as noted in my
weekly Explorator newsletter):

Last week we reported on the discovery near Pisa of the ancient remains of
a Roman and his dog; this week the Times of London has given some excellent
coverage to it at (watch the wrap):

Salvete, Venator, et Gladitrix: Venator, thanks for providing the site for
that enlightening article from Fox...forensics never ceases to amaze me.
...And I just happen to be doing a fair bit of reading on Roman
navy/seamanship. I have learned so much in the short time I've been a
member of NR, just in conversation with its cives! Thanks again, and good
luck Gladitrix! :)) Pompeia Cornelia Strabo

Hi Cassius,

That's no problem if you are still able to check
females. Right Patricia Cassia? :-)

Those with access to American public television may be interested in next
Tuesday's episode in which some people try to reconstruct a Roman bath.
It's airing at 8 p.m. in my area.

LOL! I can't believe I typed that! Admittedly it was while I was busy at
work, but still.

Vale,

Hail and many thanks, Venator, for this news item.
It is most interesting and very informative. Of course,
I'd like to think that he came from Etruria rather than
Magna Graeca, but, Hey! And then there is the "basset hound"!
I have to pass that on to one of my wife's friends. This is the
type of article that always makes me wish for all the follow up
reports, which are really dry. That is life.
Thank you again.
Take care.
Bene vale.
C. Aelius Ericius.
