Due to demands of that part of the world that is sometimes called
"Real", I must reiterate that I will not be open to requests for
auguries for the foreseeable future. There are a total of four
members of the College of Augurs, so this should pose no
problems.

Bene valete.

C. Aelius Ericius.
Augur Pontiff Senator Paterfamilias

Valete Omnes!

I am saddened to report that the Censor Flavius Vedius Germanicus has
tendered his resignation from that position, due to the pressure of other
responsibilities. I haven't seen this news posted here in the forum, so I
think it is my responsibility to share it with the rest of you. An
election to fill this post is anticipated.

This is one of the most senior of positions in the government, and
properly should be filled by a consular, i.e. someone who has advanced
all the way through the Cursus Honorum and has been a consul. At this
point in Nova Roma's history, however, there are few such people
available, and personal conflicts between some of them seem to be a
problem in this matter.

Since I prefer to remain apart from any such conflicts, I will leave it
to the parties involved to discuss the details.

Valete,

Lucius Sergius Australicus
Tribunus Plebis

Salve, Colleagae;

I am extremely sorry to hear the news of Senator Germanicus stepping
down from his position as Censor. He has labored long and hard at this
task and he will be missed. I salute his past efforts for Nova Roma and
with reluctance accept his recognition, knowing that if it is not the
best thing for Nova Roma, it certainly must be for he and his family.

Thank you Sir, for your untiring efforts for this micronaton, and we
wish you well in your personal endeavors.

Vale, Very Respectfully;
Marcus Minucius Audens
