To all who are interested...

I will not be attending Mithracon this year. I, unfortunately, do not have
the time or the finances for it.

I am planning a vacation at the end of this month and hope to make it to DC
at the end of April for the Millenium March for Gay and Lesbian Equality.

Mithras will have to waite another year for me.

But...when is Roman Days?

Roman Days is, I believe, June 10-11.

I can't be there because my National Guard unit will be doing it's annual two
weeks drill at Ft. Dix, New Jersey.

Any Romans near Ft. Dix?

I am going to try my damnest to attend this year's Roman Days event. I had
a great time last year and had the honor of meeting Cassius, Patricia
Cassia, Audens, Cincinnatus and Merlinia. I flew all the way from Tampa, FL
to make it and (boy, are my arms tired) it was well worth it! Hopefully,
I'll have some frequent flyer miles to back this trip up! Anyone else
planning on attending?

Salvete Onmnes: I am fairly new to NR and have never heard of Roman Days.
It sounds like something I would like to take in. Where is it held, and is
there an addie where one can write for info?

I know it isn't a market day, but I will be in the chatroom tonight about
10:45 pm EST, if any other Romans would like to talk a while.

Marius, I hope to see you there, and Sulla, if you are around.

How about a roll call of Romans in the Washington DC metropolitan area, or
outlying areas?

I live in Montgomery County, Maryland, about 5 minutes from the DC line.

Salve,

As far as I know, you're living in a *great* area for Roman involvement! The
Mid-Atlantic Provincia is one of the most populated I believe. You're also
right in the area where there is a reenactor legion, and where Roman Days is
held every year! I have no idea how much immediate response you'll get from
this first posting, but if you only hear from a couple of people, don't
dispair. There are definitely folks close to you!

Vale,

Marcus Cassius Julianus
(way up North from you, in the Nova Brittania Provincia) ;)
