It is with great honor I come before the great people of our nation to
publicly thank the senate for deeming us worthy to carry the title of
"sponsored legio" of NR.
My men and I will always give 110% to uphold our way of life and bring honor
to Nova Roma. To the distinguished Consuls, Senators, and others who have
placed their trust in us, fear not for we shall stand ready to serve any
time.

This is a dies nefastus publicus (NP), a day for special religious
observance on which no legal action or public business can take place.
Today is the Poplifugia ("The Flight of the People"), dedicated to Iuppiter.
This day either commemorates the flight of the people during the tempest
that blew when Romvlvs ascended into Heaven as Qvirinvs, or when the Fidenii
attacked after the Gauls sacked the city. Sacrifices to the darker aspects
of Ivppiter appear to play a role.
The month of Quinctilis was renamed Iulius in 44 BCE in honour of the
deified C. Iulius Caesar. This month is sacred to Iuppiter.

Greetings,
I have a friend who is a potter in the real world. I asked him about the
leaking lamps. He told me that even highly fired clay will leak oil if it is
unglazed. He also told me that some potters coat in insides of unglazed works
with varnish to seal the inside.
