Salvete
To all participants:
Due to the American Holiday L. Equitius is not ready to proceed.
I found out my first rule in organizing a trial. Do not start on a holiday.
Keep your seating arrangements, and your procedures. I will let you know
a new schedule in a day, after Equitius communicates with me.

Thanks...this is much better for me, too.

As I see it, I have been waiting for several months now to be informed
whether my application for citizenship has been approved, and I am tired
of waiting. I have unsubscribed from this "discussion" group and I wish
it to be known that I rescind my application for citizenship.

As much as Nova Roma wishes to grow, it will have a terrible time doing
this if it is so slow and inefficient in responding to applications,
either to accept or deny. I wish everyone of Nova Roma the best of luck
in their endeavors, but apparently I wasn't good enough to make the cut.

Ave applicant,

I understand very much your frustration at the situation. However you need to realize that when you apply to an existing gens the paterfamilias is notified and it is up to him/her to respond. If we, the Censors of Nova Roma do not get a response our hands are tied. According to my database, you applied for citizenship 06/29. At times it takes up to 8 weeks to get approved depending on the paterfamilias.

The paterfamilias you applied to join has not gotten in touch with the Censors. For that fact, you have not contacted us either. We would have given you updates had you emailed us.

Now, you can chose to not reapply for Nova Roma because of this one unpleasant experience, or you can choose another Gens that is active. You by now should know what Gentes are active because you have been on the ML. However the choice is yours. I do hope you will reconsider your decision and reapply in a Gens that would be more responsive to your needs.

Respectfully,

Lucius Cornelius Sulla Felix
Censor of Nova Roma

Ave Nero,
Welcome to Nova Roma! It is indeed a pleasure to see
another new member and I hope you will participate in
the Main List discussions in the future.

The main Nova Roma site has many interesting avenues
of exploration. There are a couple that I think you
will find most interesting.

First, there is the Macellum where you can find Nova
Roma Coins, flags, T-shirts, statues and much more. I
hope you will also visit my site
http://www.caesar-a.cityslide.com.

Also, I would suggest a perusal of the Religio Romana
guidelines and information, it is really very
interesting.

Welcome again, and I know that you will have a good
time and learn a great deal. If there is anything
that I can personally do, please feel free to let me
know.

Vale, Maximina Octavia

Ave Militus,

Welcome to Nova Roma and I hope you enjoy yourself as
a new citizen.

If there is anything I can personally do to make your
time more pleasant, please let me know. I am fairly
new myself but I am learning a great deal.

Welcome and have fun,
Vale, Maximina Octavia
