Honoured Tribunus et Senator Fortunatus:

My sincerest congratulations to you on this most recent appointment.
Indeed, many kind words have been extended to you by Propraetor Fabi
Thule Provincia. I augment his appraisal.

>From my perspective, it has never been difficult to find positive
things to say about you. You are a most caring and efficient
individual.

Although you and I may have had a political disagreement here and
there, my vision of your abilities and virtue as a Roman has never
been obscured.

Again my congrats and best wishes. You will be a great asset to this
office.

Bene vale,
Pompeia Cornelia
Propraetrix Canada Orientalis
Nova Roma

Ladies and Gentlemen of Nova Roma;

I come before you using a new E-Mail ID, as a hopeful means of better
organizing and managing my use of the NovaRoma MainList. In the future
I would ask that all information coming my way would come to this
address as my past address:

jmath669642reng@--------

is being severely overused, by myself.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

Respectfully;
Marcus Audens

Subject: [novaroma] Friendly Challenge
From: "JusticeCMO" <justicecmo@-------->
Date: Sun, 4 Nov 2001 17:55:57 -0500
Salve,

I have spent a good deal of time as of late pondering "things" both large
and small here within Nova Roma. I value much about our nation........the
diverse voices, the great ideas, the shared dreams. I also worry, however.
Upon looking back through the archives of our List it does seem that we
expend a tremendous amount of energy in negative exchanges. We seem, as a
community, to have a tendency to respond to most new ideas with an attitude
of "here is what is wrong with that...". Not always, but often enough to be
troublesome.

Please don't misunderstand me, I am *not* advocating a community where we
all "yes" each other to death. It is a GOOD thing when people question
things, especially as it usually leads all parties to a better end result,
given the new ideas and point of view. I suppose I would just like to see
some small amount of energy spent in praising what is good and virtuous and
worthwhile here. I would "love" to consider stopping a thread that is going
on ad infinitum because too many *good* things were being said. ;)

To that end, I hereby issue a friendly challenge to the people of Nova Roma.
All people. Forget class, forget macronationalties, forget past
animosities. I challenge each person to take a moment and pen an e-mail to
at least three different magistrates, senators or provincial magistrates and
tell them what you think they are doing right. Share with them a simple
thank you for the hours they have contributed here, on a volunteer basis, to
make Nova Roma a better community.

Yes, it is true that these people have stepped forward of their own free
will. It is also true that the work is done because we want to se Nova Roma
prosper, not as a way of gaining accolades. Still and all, it is always a
nice thing to be told you are doing something right. We have a terrific
number of gifted people here in Nova Roma and I just know that we can change
the flow of the forum to one of positive input and cooperation with just a
small effort on the part of each person.

You will find names, positions and e-mail addresses for every magistrate
here:
http://www.novaroma.org/bin/view/magistrates

Senators' names (e-mail addresses are in each profile) can be found here:
http://www.novaroma.org/bin/view/senators

Provincial magistrates' names and e-mail addresses can be found here:
http://www.novaroma.org/bin/view/propraetores

I sincerely hope each of you will take a few moments and step forward to
contribute some positive energy to our nation. Whether done publicly or
privately, I know each word of encouragement and thanks will be deeply felt.
Thank you in advance for your contributions!

Vale,
Priscilla Vedia Serena
