My friends,

A Woman of my Blood has passed on to the next world.

Rita, daughter of Domenico and Giovannini (Valentino) Mastroianni, sister to my mother's mother.
Born 12 January 1930 - Died 20 January 2002.

My great Aunt was a spinster. She and her sister Carmella were the youngest daughters of 10
children, who willingly gave up hopes of families of their own to care for their aged parents.

Auntie Rita was never a refined lady, having worked in a building contractors' supply house most
of her adult life.

But, by That Which Is Holy, she loved her nieces and nephews, and their children, like they were
her own.

I am so Gods Blessed to have so many good memories of the elder folk of my family.
I also blessed that I grew up enough to let them know of my appreciation.

Also, I wish to thank all those who did send condolences at the news of my Great Aunt Rita's
passing.

I've thought a lot about what she and my other Kin and Kith have meant to me today. I'm a good
man for having known her, and them.
