Subject: [novaroma] Re: ATTN: Gentes set closed by censorial decision

Salve,

This is one hell of a lot of Gentes. Is one of the Censors contacting
the Pater/Materfamilae individually, and removing Gentes ONLY after
no responce is received to one or two mailings?

I happen to know that Gens Ambrosia is alive and well, yet it is
included as a closed Gens. The Materfamilias, Merlinia Ambrosia, was
just frantic on the Paterfamilias list, asking for help because she
didn't know how to navigate the controls in the Album Gentium. I
expect other Pater/Materfamiliae don't know about the Album Gentium
requirement that seems to be the standard for detirmining activity.

If no email is being sent to these Gentes, I humbly suggest that it
be done ASAP. I'll even volunteer as a Censorial Scribe to assist in
sending Emails if need be. (Censors, please email me privately if
you wish to accept my offer.)

Vale,

Marcus Cassius Julianus
Senator, Pontifex Maximus

Salve Iuliana,

Today I re-read my own response to you, and now I can see my reply
was a bit harsh, and for this I would like to apologise to you. At
the time I thought this was a case of a non-Nova Roman coming by to
make needless criticism, but after talking to my paterfamilias
Cassius I see this was in fact not the case at all. So, I am sorry
for being rough, and plainly I could use a bit more of the Roman
virtues. I also tend to get a bit too defensive where people of my
gens are concerned.

Salvete omnes,

Thanks again. I'm a lucky girl, my dreams use to come true and Nova Roma is
one of them. Sometimes those dreams need to be fulfilled and I thought that
this was one of those cases. I wanted Nova Roma to be perfect in every
sense, even by removing the aspects of the ancient times that are
problematic today (in order to respect them).
Yes, it sounds childish and incoherent. And I apologize for that.
I have to tell you that the day I wrote the polemical e-mail I started to
shiver embarrassed. It was an unnecessary critic.
Everything is extraordinarily well organized.
I have been too exacting and demanding with you.
You have made considerable efforts to reconstruct the mirror to the past,
you are my heroes!
All this made me remember my childhood dream: watching people dressed like
the ones we love. It's so possible that I can't believe it.
Thanks for being there.

(I don't know if someone has ever shed a tear in Nova Roma.
Well, I want to make it public: Nerva, the second time you wrote to me you
made me cry )

P.S. Don't worry, I won't make a soap opera here.

Di vos bene ament.
Valeria Constantinia Iuliana.

I would like to announce my candidacy to be Dominus of the Factio Veneta! It
was I who sponsored proud Iaculator and his chariot Phaeton back in the
Megalensa games, and we took Blue to the Finals in those heady days. Lately
Fortuna has not been so kind, but I promise to lead Veneta to CRUSH
Praesina! and humiliate the Reds and Whites as well.
