In response to your E-Mail, I have tried to enter the chat-room, but the

As priestess of Minerva, I have an altar to the goddess of wisdom in
my home, and make regular offerings at it, with prayers that Nova Roma
be blessed with wisdom.

Last weekend, the prayer was personal: I was taking the GREs (for
those of you outside the U.S., these are the exams one takes to be
admitted to graduate school). Minerva was apparently with me, for my
scores were better than I'd thought possible, given that I've been out
of school for 15 years.

I hereby give public thanks to the goddess, and I also invite any who
are so minded to join me in offering to her for Nova Roma's security
and good government. If you'd like to know more about Minerva, visit
the Pantheon section of the Nova Roma Web site.

Citizens of Nova Roma;

For anyone who might be interested, I will be attending Roman Days this
year. This is a very recent change (like since 4:00 P.M. yesterday) due
to a change in scheduled plans for the "Ludi Maximus Gladitori."

"Maximus" Minucius Gladius, the co-owner of the Ludi has determined that
the Mount Pocono Event that we attended last year, will not be included
in this year's schedule. Therefore, with my lovely wife's agreement we
will plan to attend both days. "Maximus" will be pleased to drive down
as will we, and I will plan to set up my fly on the grounds early on
Saturday Morning.

I will be pleased to hear from the ladies if they are planning a Roman
feast again, so that I may register, for the meal, if necessary, and
with anyone else involved with the event, who may have any special
information for me.

My apologies for the last minute change but the final decision was made
just today, and previously I had planned not to attend due to the Norway
trip, but "Maximus" called me, asked what it would take and we reached
our agreement just yesterday in the P.M.

Respectfully;

M. Minucius Audens

This program just does the same as yahoo, it runs on a server, you send
mail to it and it forwards it to all the members of the list.
Lists can be open, closed with or without archives, moderated, partially
moderated etc.
The end user does not see any difference at all. The list manager
manages it through a web interface.

Take a look at my server:

Salvete, omnes--

I knew there had to be a connection between the movies
_Spartacus_ and _Gladiator,_ and by golly, I've found
it. (g)

There I was, watching _Spartacus_ and having a good
time. It's a bit after Spartacus has refused to force
himself on Varinia.

Marcellus the grizzled trainer shows up with Varinia
at the door to Spartacus' cell. He acts like he's
going to let Varinia in there, and then he pulls her
back and says, "No, I think I'll give her to the
Spaniard."

That's one of the best laughs I've ever had out of
that movie!

Salve Senatrix et Priestness Patricia Cassia:

I am very happy for you! I hear these exams are rather challenging,
and given the fact that you have been out of the swing of school for
a while, this is exceptional.

And I join you, in hoping for the very best for Nova Roma.

Vale,
Pompeia Cornelia
