Unfortunately, my friend, I don't have available to my disposal at
the moment an abundance of links to sources of education of the Latin
language for a beginner. However, if this would satisfy you, I would
happily type basic lessons for you as somewhat of an "education by e-
mail" ideal. If this suits your needs, just let me know, and I'll
start on your lessons instantaneously.
Salve amice,
Proculus Postumius Nero Drusus Sepulchratus, awaiting censoral
approval.

I recently wrote to one of the magistrates in my province about the
possibility of some kind of gathering in the future. G. Popillius Laenas
seemed to think it was a good idea. Since some of the Nova-Romans I have
emailed with are also members of the SCA, there is a good chance that they
have the experience to run a small NR event at one of the state parks here in
Tennessee. As a retail store owner and reenactor, I am beginning to put
aside some funds to help defray the initial costs of such an event. My goals
is a weekend event with some of the Roman military re-enactors, some members
of the pontifical college, and citizens for some games, feasting, classes,
and a general Roman holiday. The III Cohort of the Praetorians did something
like this in March but I was unable to attend. I don't think it will happen
until late Fall or early Winter but I am hopeful it will come to pass.
By the by, does anyone know how long it usually takes before someone begins
to get The Eagle. I mailed my check in at the address posted at the NR site
in April but it still hasn't been cashed according to my bank.

Salvete,
Patricia Cassia and I are leaving this morning to attend "Roman Days" , and
will be on vacation for a week after that. We will not be back online until
June 15th.
No flag or coin orders will be filled before that time, nor can any inquiries
about flags or coins be answered before then.
I hope everyone has a great week!

AVE GAI LANI FALCO
Your words are very appreciated by myself.
I really want to serve Nova Roma to the best of my abilities!
Now I just hope the Senate will consider my exemption for this case,
and even though it will be refused, I will offer my collaboration to
another magistrate dealing with the same matters. In fact I (like
everyone here) am not looking for a title, but rather for good
results.
Thank you again!
