Welcome back, amice, and find us much grown and prospering! I
congratulate you on your return to health and wish you continued
strength and energy. It is indeed a joy to hear of your recovery.
I don't think you need anyone's approval to host games, though you might
check with the current Aedile, Caeso Fabius, to make sure you're not
doing it at the same time as his Ludi Romani.

[Nova-Roma] Unofficial NR Europe Rally report |

Salvete Nova Romans,
Since I am surely the first NR citizen to arrive home after the Rally, I
would just like to unoffically inform everyone that the Rally was a great
success. We didn't have a lot of pople, but in this case, quality was in
fact better than quantity. 8 people of different cultural backgrounds
travelled to Tongeren Belgiga to meet in the name of our common interest,
which is all things Roman.
I would like to thank all of them, who in their own ways have made the last
4 days something that I will not soon forget.
Caeso Fabius Quintilianus- a man whose photo on the NR website does not at
all show the bright spirit that is twinkling through his eyes:-) Caeso is a
man who is not only honorable & intelligent, but clearly loves humankind and
animal kind much more than most mere mortals. As his NR photo does not at
all show, Caeso constantly wears a big smile on his face which lights up
whatever room he is in.
Caius Curius Saturninus & Emilia Curia Finnica-- 2 very gentle people, who
when they speak everyone listens because they have something meaningful to
say!
Sextus Apollonius Scipio- His enthusiasm for NR is quite contagious and
under his leadership, Gallia is sure to be a Provincia to be reckoned with
in the near future :-)
Kevin Scipio: at 6 years old, the youngest member of our group. Certainly on
his way to be a heartbreaker :-) If the world produces a few more children
such as Kevin, then there is hope for the future of humankind!
Manius Constantinus Serapio-- a brilliant person & musician in the
macronation as well as in NR. A real Roman !
Lucius Salix Cicero-- He was the most "culturally" close to me, as Britannia
and Germania Ineferior are only a few kilometers from eachother. Cicero can
hold his own in the intellectual discussions as well as the more mundane
chat (which we did a lot of) over a beer and a cigarette!
Solarus & Tiberios Apollonius Cicatrix- 2 very intelligent young men who
besides adding a lot to our discussions on Saturday, also had most of us
laughing the entire day!
And last but not least, thank you to Franciscus Apulus Caesar and any of the
other citizens of Provincia Italia who were responsible for the nice gift
that Serapio brought us! I'll be sure to play the Nova Roam Italy anthem
verrrrrrrrry loud tomorrow, just to annoy my Celtic & Germanic neighbors :-)
Valete,
Diana Apollonia Aventina

AVETE OMNES
I just came back from the Nova Roma European meeting in Belgium,
and I just can tell you that it has simply been WONDERFUL!!!!!
It has been wonderful meeting people such as Senator Quintilianus, a
really exceptional person, Caius Curius Saturninus and his wife
Emilia Curia Finnica, the Propraetor Galliae Sextus Apollonius Scipio
with his really nice son, our dear Diana Apollonia Aventina, Lucius
Salix Cicero, Solaris and Cicatrix!!!
We really had a great time together, vising Roman remains, the Gallo-
Roman museum, taking part to a Roman dinner just for us, wearing
Roman dresses and, above all, discussing a lot about a lot of
matters!!!
It has been absoluely funny, interesting, useful, and we absolutely
want to repeat such an event next year!
We all received a beautiful certificate of participation to this
meeting; everyone received a CD made by Provincia Italia containing
the Italic Provincial anthem and several other Roman pieces of music
(Solaris and Cicatrix were not there when I distributed them; please,
tell me your address and I will send it to you); Diana and I received
a wonderful wax tablet (like the one Romans used to write), and every
participant signed them. The son of Scipio also got a nice
reproduction of a Roman ring and a wooden Roman sword.
You all will see the photo of this meeting as soon as possible!
I would like to thank again Diana Apollonia Aventina for helping each
of us with transportation in Belgium and with the general
organization of this meeting.
Also I obviously would like to thank Caeso Fabius Quintilianus, Caius
Curius Saturninus and Emilia Curia Finnica for having made this event
possible.
They actually are in Waterloo, but I know that tomorrow morning
Saturninus will read this message on the small computer he brought
with him (as he did during past days) and will show it to his wife
and Quintilianus, so I wish them to have a good time there! :-)
Valete Bene!!!
