Salvete.
I have been collecting roman and greek coins for some years now.
In the U.S., coins that have been excessively cleaned I.E. The patina
removed are pretty much worthless since the coins desirability has been
removed, again patina. You should never use harsh commercial chemicals to
clean any ancient artifact. This includes bronze and steel weapons of the
period, which I also collect.

Not so much the classic Athenian democracy (a disaster never repeated in history!) or Sparta ( a disaster too often repeated in history!) but the pre- and early Roman life of cities such as Alexandria and Antioch.

In this moment the members of the Gens Solaria are in one of the most
important european event, the "Mercato della Centuriazione" in Villadose
(RV) www.centuriazione.it
It's a wonderful recostruction od an ancient roman village and during two
days there will archeological and historical study meeting, parates, roman
eat and music, the reconstruction of the ancient market and of a great
battle between Romans and Celtics.
Alexander Solaris Draco and his fratres are engaged in the conferences, a
group in the battle and in the market there is a stand about the italian
organization Nova Scrimia and our Nova Roma. Our nova romans citizens are
promoting the Res Publica and Provincia Italia distributing flyers,
contacting the visitors and showing the official websites.
At the end of the event, tomorrow, the website of Provincia Italia and
novaroma.org will be presented in a public conference.
I thank the Gens Solaria and I hope Villadose should be an important moment
to promote our micronation.
P.S.: I'll publish the photos about Villadose in the italian website as soon
as possible.
