Salvete omnes quirites,
First of all, I would like to thank all those citizens, who have written
congratulations to me and my wife on this list and in private. It is great
to receive so many gratulations from all over the world, from people we
have never met, but who feel a certain connection to us, through this list
and the interest we share.
To be able to see the photos, which Quintus Quinctilius Varus Galili put
on the internet, you have to visit the YAHOO-page of the mainlist. There
you will be able to find a link to PHOTOS. In there, you will find a folder
with the name TIANO'S WEDDING, in which you can find 2 photos.
Thank you very much again, to all those who have written to us and those
who might still want to write.

The list was placed on Egressus by Germanicus who has resigned from Nova

If the information that you need relates to Egressus, I would prefer

[Nova-Roma] Question about Ancient Roman author |

Avete Omnes,
I have been reading a book called Pagan Rome and Early Christianity, and in that book there are many quotes from an ancient writer named Marcus Cornelius Fronto. I was hoping if anyone might have any information regarding his works?
Specifically if they have survived antiquity, what are they called? Are they that extreme in view (in case your wondering he is, according to the work, vehmently anti-Christian) or was it just the quoting of him that makes him seem so extreme? And finally, if his books are available for today's reading? Thanks.
Lucius Cornelius Sulla Felix

Fronto was supposedly a powerful orator, who was held to be the equal of the
likes of Cicero. He was also a consul for a time, during the reign of
Antoninus Pius (IIRC).
> Specifically if they have survived antiquity, what are they called?
AFAIK, only some of his correspondence with important people of the day (M
Aurelius, among others) has survived. None of his speeches remain.
You can find his collected letters at:
