The Bona Dea is upon us! At this time the elite women of Rome would
meet for the ritual of the Good Goddess, which was believed essential
to the well-being of society. No men were admitted, and even the man of
the house had to spend the evening elsewhere.
Other commitments require me to postpone my own celebration from its
traditional day, but if any Nova Roman woman would be interested, I
will be holding a Bona Dea gathering at my home on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Naturally, I am prohibited from revealing the details of the ritual in
mixed company, but there will be food, wine (which the ancient Romanae
coyly called "milk"), and entertainment, along with an offering to the
Good Goddess.
I realize most of my fellow Nova Romanae won't be able to make it to
Nova Britannia, but I hope some of you can find time for your own Bona
Dea celebrations! This time of year gets busy, and I've found it lots
of fun to take a break for a "girls' night."

Salve....
I was wondering if I could get any help in a puzzling occurrence that I'm
going through.... Over a month and a half ago, after my first few days
as citizen, I ordered one of the NR flags after emailling
Cassius622@aol.com and receiving reply as to the stock quantity. I sent
the check to the address shown on the flag page and wrote on the "memo:"
line "flag." I haven't received my flag to date (the account statement
that came after told me the check wasn't cashed ) and have been trying to
get contact with Cassius but either I received no reply or I overlooked
it by accident when dumping my spam. Now I have minor nagging doubts
whether or not I copied down the address right even though I'm sure I
did.
I know that I could very well forget it and order again since the check
wasn't cashed and checks only cost pennies but I'm still having a feeling
that if I do that, then I'd be surprised to see the flag boxed on my
doorstep the day the mailman picks up the other order! LOL

Salve,
Since you have my email address to post to the main list, you could
easily have contacted me directly at that address.
If the check for your flag order has not been cashed, and the order
has not been received, there is obviously a problem going on with the
order itself. Can you please email me with your shipping address, so
that I can check my records?
It seems to me like your order might not have been recieved at all,
but further information sent to me will allow me to better look in to
this. Thanks very much!
