== BIOGRAPHY ==

In his home country of Sweden, Ap. Curius Rullus has studied Sociology as well as Peace and development studies at the Linnaeusuniversity. From the University of Jönköping he also has courses in Conflict and conflictmanagement together with a course in Identity, pluralism and ethics. This led to work at the Swedish Public Employment Office, where his focus was on helping disabled persons in finding, and keeping, a job.

Ap. Curius has always had an interest in history, especially in the form of reenactment and living history. His interest in Rome have been in focus from time to time over the years and twice his efforts in establishing a roman group has been met with negativity. Thus focus changed to the medieval period, especially late 15th century. He registered as a citizen on {{Jun 3}} {{2015}}.

When he joined Nova Roma, [[Provincia Thule (Nova Roma)|Provincia Thule]] was considered nearly defunct. Ap. Curius was determined to identify any other citizens and energize the province. The temporary governor, legatus pro praetore [[Cn. Lentulus]] appointed him as [[scriba (Nova Roma)|''scriba legati pro praetore'']], and now he is working on the reorganization of Thule.

In 2015 he was asked by a friend to join the newly started swedish Roman reenactment group, actually a part of the Denmark based group of Legio VI Victrix, Cohors II Cimbria, and was about to join but had to leave that idea as he had too many things going on in his life at that moment. In the year of 2020 he was contacted again and responded that he will join after leaving his other engagements in a good way. He is now a Decanus and a member of the board within the swedish group Centvria Svionvm from the fall of 2020. See links to the two groups below:

In the same year (2015) he joined Nova Roma and contacted the provincia Thule representative, but without any serious replies. The time that followed was a period of intrigue and backstabbing. During the fall of 2020 he decided to activate himself within Nova Roma again and paid his taxes, and a bit more. He contacted Cn Cornelius Lentulus if he needed any help. After some discussions he was offered the role of Scriba Censoris to Censor A. Tulliae Scholasticae, which also resulted in the position as Scriba Legatus Pro Praetore Thules Cn. Lentuli. His first duties was to send out over 300 ”Confirmation of Application” e-mails and to administrate the replies and suggesting possible namechanges for final approval. The second stage was to administrate about 50% of all replies of the census calls. All in all he managed about 500 applicants and members. He was also appointed as one of two diributors by Consul Q. Arrius Nauta.

Apart from his work and interest in roman history he served as Chief of Section 1 of the 35th Battallion Personnel office (C S1) for seven years, with rank as 2nd lieutenant. He has now left his engagement in the Swedish national Guard due to health problems. He is an active mountainbiker in three disciplins - Cross Country, Enduro and Downhill!

Aurelius was determined to identify any other citizens and energize the province. After considerable effort online and local campaigning, the Senate recognized his efforts and assigned him as [[Legatus (Nova Roma)|''Legatus Regionis'']] and [[Governor (Nova Roma)|''Praefectus Provinciae Australiae Administrandae'']], vice Governor for the province, in Oct of {{2019}}. [[Provincia Australia (Nova Roma)|Provincia Australia]] is now considered in high regard among the more active provinces within Nova Roma.

Presently, D. Aurelius leads as President of an unofficial association called [https://austnovaroma.jcink.net ''Australia Nova Romana''] (ANR). He leads this association as Managing Director of the chapter of Nova Roma within Oceania. D.
