Classification of magistracies

Magistracy overview




One of the magistracies of Nova Roma. The editor commentariorum (editor of written news) is responsible for the production, publication, and distribution of the official publications sponsored by the State.

The editor commentariorum is appointed by a vote of the senate on the nomination of a consul. The editor commentariorum shall serve for three years. The editor commentariorum has the authority to appoint his own scribae, should he deem it necessary.

A deputy editor commentariorum is also be appointed by a vote of the senate on the nomination of a consul. The deputy serves as the chief assistant to the editor commentariorum. If during the three year term a vacancy occurs the deputy editor commentariorum shall assume the duties for remainder of that term as editor commentariorum.
