The Nova Roman Legio XIV Comitatensis - Quartodecimani is an allied legionary reenactment unit of Provincia Germania. Imitating the ancient style of orthograpy, the group writes its name officially as Legio XIIII Comitatensis, and the official business name of group is Project Quartodecimani - LEG XIIII Comitatensis. The Legio XIV Comitatensis - Quartodecimani reenactment unit was founded by C. Flavius Constantinus Aeneas Stilicho, and it was recruited as an official allied legion of Nova Roma in Kal. Apr. ‡ Sex. Lucilio (II) A. Tullia (II) cos. ‡ MMDCCLXXV a.u.c. who is also the current tribunus militum.

Command

The ceremonial supreme commanders of all legions within Nova Roma are the consules of Nova Roma, and the praetores are the vice-supreme commanders. The provincial ceremonial commander-in-chief of the Legio XIV Comitatensis - Quartodecimani (and all other legionary units in Provincia Germania), is the governor of Germania and the Dioecesis Europae Celticae et Germanicae, the dux et legatus pro praetore Cn. Cornelius Lentulus, and the proquaestor of Germania, C. Flavius Constantinus Aeneas Stilicho, and the legatus of Germania C. Artorius Praeconinus are the provincial deputy commanders-in-chief.

The actual commander of our allied Legio XIV Comitatensis, appointed specifically as commander-in-chief of the legion, is the tribunus C. Flavius Constantinus Aeneas Stilicho. He exercises command on his own. Missions and operations of the legion are directed by the tribunus and his fellow officers.
