(Proposed by Flavius Vedius Germanicus 6/30/98. No voting deadline. Approved with no dissenting votes 7/3/98.)
I would like to nominate a new Citizen, Scipio Hyeanus Africanus, as governor of the
Southwest provincia. He has
expressed a great deal of enthusiasm for the job; he volunteered, in fact:
"I also wish to know if and when it would be possible to be elected ProConsul of the
Southwestern Provincea. I do look
forward to this and any other challenges Mother Romesends to me. I have been waiting a
long time to find her."
When I outlined the responsibilities to him, his response was:
"Rome was not built in a day, and neither is a Provincea, but it is a thing I desire most, and will dedicate myself to it, I already have printed out the leaflets the site has to offer, I am working on a gentes web site so that others may know and be a part of. and if possible, would like to look into getting the Nova Roman flag made. I would accept any responsibility that the office would require, and do appreciate your aid."
I don't think we're going to be given a more enthusiastic candidate for the job. I ask
the Senate confirm him as governor
of the Southwest Provincia.
