C. Cornelius Cethegus Barosus was the consul of the Nova Roman Republic, the head of state of Nova Roma together with his consular colleague Q. Arrius Nauta in the 25th Anniversary Year, the Quarter Century Sacred Year of Concordia in the year C. Cethego Q. Arrio (IV) cos. MMDCCLXXVI a.u.c. named after them. C. Cornelius has been adlected to the senate as a senator praetorius in the previous year, where he sits as a consular senator currently.

C. Cornelius is a Classicist, a Latinist, a historian and a history teacher. He has published articles of his academic work in Hungarian language. Barosus is also a practicing veteran gladiator of the Familia Gladiatoria Pannonica, a partner group of Nova Roma. He has organized splendid gladiatorial games for Nova Roma during his tenure as aedilis. As praetor, he introduced several edicts to update the Nova Roman tabularium.
