The application to create the oppidum was approved by legatus pro praetore [[Gnaeus Iulius Caesar (Nova Roma)|Gnaeus Iulius Caesar]] on {{Dec 16}} {{2008}}. ==Geography== Oppidum Laureatum is a local subdivision of [[Provincia Canada Ulterior (Nova Roma)|Provincia Canada Ulterior]]. It consist of the cities of Edmonton, St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Leduc and Spruce Grove. It also includes Sturgeon County, Strathcona County, Parkland County and Leduc County. ==Current Magistrates== The two Aediles Oppidi act as co-mayors and are the highest ranking magistrates of the oppidum.
