A spelt cake is a traditional offering given agricultural deities such as Ceres or Tellus.
Recipe for Spelt Cake
From C. Minucius Hadrianus, Minerva Templi Sacerdotes
Here's how I do it, it's pretty simple - spelt flour and water! Just mix enough water into the flour to get a nice doughy consistency, take a nice pinch of dough, roll it into a ball and then roll it out into a little pancake. Heat up a pan with some olive oil, and brown up the cake. I make them fairly small (1-2") and thin so they will burn reasonably well in my Turibulum, which is small.
