MINUCIA GENS was originally, in some of its branches at least, patrician (Augurinus) ; but more frequently occurs in history as a plebeian house. Its principal cognomens were Augurinus, Basilus, Rufus, and Thermus. Minicius and Municius are frequently confounded with Minucius.
