Third quarter Treasury report, Fl. Vedio (II) M. Cassio (II) cos. MMDCCLIV a.u.c.

Treasury

Starting balance of 7/1/01: $1,688.07

INCOME:

  1. Donations: $315.00
  2. Eagle subscriptions: $60
  3. Macellum: $110.15

TOTAL REVENUE: $485.15

EXPENSES:

  1. Eagle expenses to Helena Galeria: $49.12
  2. Reimbursement to Marcus Cassius Julianus for cost of flags sold: $47.25

TOTAL EXPENSES: $96.37

BALANCE: $2076.85

Mint

  1. Revenue from coins purchased: $866.65
  2. Expense for coins redeemed: $0
  3. Total balance in coin account as of 8/13/01: $1234.65

Notes:

Salvete Patres Conscripti! The coins have proven to be a big success! Six months after they were first introduced, the Mint is already comfortably provided with funds to cover the face value of more than one-third of the coinage issued. From this point forward, we will be able to reimburse Marcus Cassius Julianus for the substantial personal investment he made in this project.

A follow-up note: Thanks to some late-breaking donations we were able to give a total of $475 to the Vindolanda Trust.

For planning purposes, I will note that I do not intend to seek re-election as Quaestor next year, but will of course work with those chosen by the voters and the Consuls of the year to ensure a smooth transition and meet all legal requirements.

Respectfully submitted, Patricia Cassia
