The Consilium Italiæ, formerly called Curia Italica, is the government of Comunitas Italica. It consists of the Propraetor or Propraetrix and his or her appointed assistant and advisors. The governor is responsible to the Senate - the Senate appoints the governor of every province and can remove any governor before their term has expired.

From the occasion of the Ludi Apollinares, authorized by the lex Arria, as praefectus of Italia, I am awarding the following citizen the Italian Governor's Award:
GOVERNOR'S AWARD FOR RECRUITING IMPORTANT NEW CITIZENS IN ITALIA
C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus receives the GOVERNOR'S AWARD for his excellent work and dedication for recruiting two important Italian reenactors, the president and the vice-president of the senatorial reenactment subdivision of the Gruppo Storico Romano, the chief reenactment group of Rome, and one of the most important reenactment groups of entire Italy. With his work in the reorganization of Praefectura Italia, C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus contributed to the renewal of our Nova Roman presence in Italy, and in such an important group, which hosts the Parilia "Natale di Roma" festival each year. The GOVERNOR'S AWARD distinguishes C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus as an example to follow, and thanks him for his contribution and work to our Italian reorganization and revival for the benefit of Nova Roma and the world of Roman reconstructionism.
