Kalisz, a city in Poland that may have been mentioned by Ptolemy in the 2nd century A.D., (but the claim is now doubted by some).
Kalisz is the site of an annual historical event[1]
commemorating its history on the "Amber Trail". "There are many artefacts of the Roman times in the area, pointing to the fact that it could have been one of the stops of the Roman caravans heading for the Baltic Sea."[2]
MMDCCLXIII
P. Memmio K. Buteone (II) cos. ‡ MMDCCLXIII a.u.c. Cn. Cornelius Lentulus represented Nova Roma at this festival. along with other Pannonian citizens. The XXI Rapax Legion (Hungarian) was united with the Polish XXI Rapax, the German XXI Rapax and the Czech XXI Rapax. So this event was a very impressive international XXI Rapax meeting and reunion, with 50 legionary soldiers from 4 countries who all reenact the same Legio, XXI Rapax.
Among these pictures [1] you'll see the Pannonian - and Nova Roma affiliated - Legio XXI Rapax. On the 7th photo you can see Lentulus as centurio, with his back covered by a red robe.
As sacerdos Concordiae, Lentulus celebrated the Concordia Temple festivity in Kalisz, during the event, with a sacrifice to the Goddess, Concordia.
