PROGRAM of the FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONSULAR CONVENTUS IN ROME - URBS ROMÆ, 17-20 June 2010

The participants to the Conventus shall be divided in 2 tracks as follows: TRACK A will attend NR-related meetings and talks, TRACK B will enjoy a guided tour of Rome. On a daily basis, the participants may freely choose to be part of either group.


Thursday 17 June 2010

10 am to 2pm : PLENARY: Arrivals

2:15 pm – 4 pm: Dinner at a local restaurant

4:15 pm – 6/6:30 pm :

  • TRACK A: General and formal beginning
  • TRACK B: Visit to St. Peter's Cathedral [Meeting point: St. Peter's Square, 4:00 PM front side of Bernini columns on the right (looking at the Basilica)]

7 pm – 10 pm: Supper (TRACK A and Swedish citizens of TRACK B); Meet and Greet Novi Romani

Sunrise Ritual

9 am to 4 pm: TRACK A: Meeting among all Senatores and magistrates.

4:15 pm – 6 pm: Visit to Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Trajan Markets. (Plenary: all are welcome Meeting point: 4:00 PM, entrance in Piazza Santa Maria Nova 53, near Tito's Arch)

Saturday 19 June 2010

Sunrise Ritual

10 am to 2pm: Meetings and presentations with Italians.

2:15 pm – 4 pm: Dinner at a local restaurant

4:15 pm – 6 pm:

  • TRACK A: Meeting among all NR citizens
  • TRACK B: Walking visit to Campus Martius (Crypta Balbi, Sacred Area of Largo Argentina, Augustus' Mausoleum and Ara Pacis; Meeting point: in front of Crypta Balbi, Via delle Botteghe Oscure 31)

7 pm – 10 pm: Supper and conversation and meeting with Italian leadership.

8am to 10am (to be possibly changed): Meeting of the Cohortes (TRACK A)

  • 2:15 pm – 4 pm: Dinner with meetings and presentations
  • 4:15 pm – 6 pm:: Free Time
  • 7 pm – 10 pm: Supper (for those who are leaving in the morning)

Monday 21 June 2010

10 am to 2pm (TRACK B): The other hills: from The Capitol to the Cælian hill, across the Esquiline, Quirinal and Viminal hills Tour (a long list of monuments will be presented). Meeting point: Capitol Hill Square, in front of Minerva statue (under the central staircase of the Comune di Roma building.)
