From NovaRoma
VIBIA GENS, plebeian. No Romans of this name are mentioned till the latter end of the republic; but we meet with several persons of the name among the Italian nations in the second Punic war. [See below, vibius, Nos. 1, 2 ; vibius virrius.] The first of the gens, who obtained the consulship, was C. Vibius Pansa in b. c. 43 ; and several Vibii appear in the Consular Fasti under the empire. Two of the Roman emĀperors, trebonianus gallus and volusianus, bore the name of Vibius. The coins of the Vibia gens have on them the surnames of Pansa and Varus.
