The Consilium Italiæ, formerly called Curia Italica, is the government of Comunitas Italica. It consists of the Propraetor or Propraetrix and his or her appointed assistant and advisors. The governor is responsible to the Senate - the Senate appoints the governor of every province and can remove any governor before their term has expired.

EDICTUM CN. LENTULI PRAEFECTI ITALAE DE LEGIONE AUXILIARI


In the last year, we have established a friendship with the Legio Palatina - Moesiaci Seniores - Protectores Domini Nostri in Praefectura Italia of Nova Roma, and especially with the help of M. Caecina Maxentius, we have reached the point where we can finally establish the first legionary unit of Nova Roma in Italia. As praefectus of Italia, I am proclaiming the following edict on the recruitment of the Legio Palatina - Moesiaci Seniores - Protectores Domini Nostri (macronationally represented by the Protectores Domini Nostri, APS) as an Allied Autonomous Reenactment Unit of Nova Roma:

I. I, Cn. Cornelius Lentulus, praefectus of Italia, hereby recruit and establish the Legio Palatina - Moesiaci Seniores - Protectores Domini Nostri, as the allied legionary unit of Nova Roma.

II. I hereby appoint the tribunus militum comitiatus a populo M. Caecina Maxentius Conditor as the commander of the legio, creating the office legatus legionis Palatinae Moesiacorum Seniorum for him. At the same time, I recognize and appoint him in the military rank proper tribunus.

III. I establish legatus M. Caecina Maxentius as the official liaison, coordinator and contact person between the Legio Palatina - Moesiaci Seniores - Protectores Domini Nostri of the Nova Roman Praefectura Italia and Nova Roma.

IV. As praefectus Italiae, the commander-in-chief of Nova Roman Italia, I give the mission to legatus legionis M. Caecina Maxentius to recruit the members of his legio for Nova Roma so that in the near future the legio can advance to the state of fully citizen legio of Nova Roma.

In these edicts joined up in the form of one edict, issued regarding all provinces under my imperium, I hereby assign the evaluation "EXCELLENT" to all of my apparitores in all of the provinces within my imperium, with the exception of M. Cassius Maro, who shall receive UNSATISFACTORY.

From the occasion of the Ludi Apollinares, authorized by the lex Arria, as praefectus of Italia, I am awarding the following citizen the Italian Governor's Award:


GOVERNOR'S AWARD FOR RECRUITING IMPORTANT NEW CITIZENS IN ITALIA

C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus receives the GOVERNOR'S AWARD for his excellent work and dedication for recruiting two important Italian reenactors, the president and the vice-president of the senatorial reenactment subdivision of the Gruppo Storico Romano, the chief reenactment group of Rome, and one of the most important reenactment groups of entire Italy. With his work in the reorganization of Praefectura Italia, C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus contributed to the renewal of our Nova Roman presence in Italy, and in such an important group, which hosts the Parilia "Natale di Roma" festival each year. The GOVERNOR'S AWARD distinguishes C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus as an example to follow, and thanks him for his contribution and work to our Italian reorganization and revival for the benefit of Nova Roma and the world of Roman reconstructionism.
