Ludi Augustales Bimillenarii/Ceremony to Divus Augustus in Szolnok
On the day of Epulum Iovis, having celebrated with a magnificent Roman dinner, as part of the Augustalia Bimillenaria and also as part of the'Ludi Romani 2767 a.u.c. honoring Augustus' 2000th anniversary this year, Cn. Cornelius Lentulus pontifex, praefectus Italiae and legatus pro praetore Pannoniae, with the Nova Roman Legio XXI Rapax and Pannonian citizens of Nova Roma, accompanied by Germanic tribal allied reenactors, performed a ritual to Divus Augustus in the name of the Nova Roman People, sacrificing for the Nova Roman Republic, for the senate and the collegium pontificum, for the magistrates, and for his provinces Pannonia and Italia.

1. The altar with a portrait of Divus Augustus is ready for the ceremony. Nova Roman soldiers of the Legio XXI Rapax standing as honor guard.
2. At left, L. Coponius Caupo, decanus, commander of the honor guard. The fire is proudly dancing in the tripus glorifying Augustus and Nova Roma.
3-4. The Roman ceremony was preceded by a Germanic fire ritual, our allied Germanic reenactors honored the memory of Augustus and prayed for their community.
5. Cn. Cornelius Lentulus pontifex, praefectus Italiae and legatus pro praetore Pannoniae, has started the Roman ritual and salutes the altar and the imago of the now 2000 years old deity Divus Augustus.

7. Cn. Lentulus offers the sacrifice in the name of the Nova Roman People, for the Nova Roman Republic, for the senate and the collegium pontificum, for the magistrates, the consules, praetores and tribuni plebis, and also for his provinces Pannonia and Italia.
8-9. At the end of the Roman ritual, Cn. Lentulus calls for prayers and sacrifices from among the Nova Romans and Barbarian allies who stand by. The Nova Roman soldier, now optio but wearing his previous rank, the signifer's uniform, former quaestor of our republic, Sp. Porcius Gemma, currently proquaestor of Pannonia, steps forward representing the Roman army of Augustus, offers his prayers, and pours libation of wine. He honors the Roman victims of Teutoburg, and Roman reenactors of today all over the world.
10. The ceremony closes with the representative of the Germanic allied reenactors, symbolizing the other side of Augustus' world, who offers his prayer and sacrifice to Augustus asking forgiveness for Teutoburg and reconciliation. Augustus' numen is placated by the noble gesture of a Germanic young man, and Divus Augustus has been duly honored on the 2000th anniversary of his death, funeral and deification.
