Album Civium

Q. Arrius Nauta is currently serving as decemvir stlitibus iudicandis, but he is famous for the honor to be the first Nova Roman statesman to have held the consulship four times. As consul, i.e. the president, head of state of our res publica together with his consular colleague C. Cornelius Cethegus Barosus, they presided over the 25th Anniversary Year, the Quarter Century Sacred Year of Concordia in the year C. Cethego Q. Arrio (IV) cos. MMDCCLXXVI a.u.c. named after them. Q. Arrius has been the legislator for a large number of laws in Nova Roma that are currently in force, and as such, he shaped the present face of Nova Roma together with a few of the most active citizens.

In his home province, Pannonia, he is a long standing staff member of the governor, working as scriba. He also serves as a soldier ranking tesserarius in the Legio XXI Rapax, but his general contributions to Nova Roma in Pannonia are significant in all aspects of promoting Nova Roma and organizing civic life within the province.

In macronational life, Q. Arrius served in the Armed Forces, within the Navy (River Fleet), hence his cognomen. Q. Arrius learned Latin in high school, which gave a solid ground for his amateur erudition of Roman studies.

In his capacity as aedilis curulis, Q. Arrius published the Nuntii Arrii Aedilician Newsletter, and he organized the Ludi Romani 2768 AUC.
