I'm Marcus Octavius Germanicus, installer of this Wiki, and one of its WikiMagister-Bureaucrats.
In Nova Roma, I'm a Senator and Consular. I've been a citizen since March 1998, when, a few hours after seeing Decius Iunius Palladius's advertisement on a pagan newsgroup, I printed the application form and dropped it into a mailbox in Evanston, Illinois.
I become active in MMDCCLIII (2000) when I was elected Curule Aedile Suffectus, whereupon I took over the hosting of novaroma.org, which continues to run on my server, [1].
Since then, I served as Curator Araneum (multiple terms), Propraetor Lacus Magni, Consul, and a partial term as Censor. At the moment, I hold no elected office, but am active in support positions.
I'm also somewhat visible on the main list. There, I advocate against unnecessarily complex laws and the people who take advantage of them - "gaming the system".
