THE BOSTON MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS

An old and well respected museum, filled with great ancient art from many periods. In addition to their three Roman galleries, they have three Greek galleries, an Etruscan gallery, and several Egyptian galleries. Good books and Classical statuary is available in the gift shop. Higgins Armory Museum

A delightful museum of weapons and armor from ancient times through the 1700's. Items are well presented, and they have some interesting Roman and Classical era items. Roman books and items are also offered in the gift shop.
