Fl. Vedius Germanicus consul consulted the senate a.d. XIV Kal. Quin. ‡. M. Cassius, D. Iunius and Fl. Vedius were there for the transcription. Inasmuch as Fl. Vedius Germanicus consul made mention of the appointment of Patricia Cassia as quaestrix, concerning that matter the senate recommended as follows:
I would like to propose that Patricia Cassia be appointed as quaestrix, to assist both Marcus Cassius Iulianus and myself in our duties as consul. Her primary duty would be the maintenance of the treasury. Now that we actually have monies coming in, I believe it would behoove us to have our funds administered by a third party.
The senate so recommended.
(Proposed by Flavius Vedius Germanicus 6/18/98. No voting deadline. Approved with no dissenting votes 6/30/98.)
