The Senate of Nova Roma is the supreme policy making council of the government where the current magistrates, and a select few former magistrates (mostly of consular and praetorian rank) with our most excellent citizens who have been appointed as senators, can discuss the state of affairs of the res publica and issue Senatus consulta as directives. They can also issue the Senatus consultum ultimum. These are virtually all decisive in nature, sometimes in regards to appointments.
