Contents of the Legal system
Entering a document for the first time
Use Template:LexSubst to create the basic framework for a lex. Do not edit the template!
- Create a new page with the name of the lex in the form "Name of lex (Nova Roma)".
- Enter this on the first line: {{subst:LexSubst}}
- Save the page.
- Open the page and edit it to contain the correct information.
- Save your changes.
The template includes all of the following templates. Delete the one ones that are not needed. See NovaRoma:Templates for the basics of using templates.

- Template:LexStatusRepealed
- Template:LexStatusLapsed
- Template:RogatioStatusVetoed
- Template:RogatioStatusFailed
- Template:RogatioStatusWithdrawn

The template also includes the following categories. Delete the one ones that are not needed.

Use Template:SenConSubst to create the basic framework for a Senatus Consultum. The procedure is the same as above.

Other Lex templates
Other
"scriptum" class
Use <div class="scriptum"> and </div> to contain the entire actual text. This marks text that should not be changed.
"lexcomment" class
Use <div class="lexcomment"> and </div> to mark optional commentary... e.g. "Section headers in double parentheses are unofficial and have been inserted for convenience."
