Introduction

The Consilium senatus de via culturali Europea constituenda (the senatorial council concerning the establishment of a European cultural route) was established under Senatus consultum de consilio senatus de via culturali Europea constituendo. Also refereed to more colloquially as the "Senatorial European Cultural Route Establishment Committee", (or "SECREC", as an abbreviation), this council was formed to establish and sponsor an official cultural route under the "Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe" programme. The concept to have Nova Roma sponsor a cultural route was first coined by Sp. Ulpius Gennadius in early M. Metello D. Aurelio cos. ‡ MMDCCLXXIX a.u.c.. He reached out to the consular office and pitched his idea, which was endorsed and then presented to the senate.

Terms of Reference

The council is governed by a senate approved terms of reference. The senate may update this at anytime. The council can also initiate updates to the senate for approval. The terms fo rewference describes the structure of the council and how it runs.

Council Organization

The council is headed by the Magister Operum, Program Director and Council Vice-Chair: Sp. Ulpius Gennadius.

Overwatching and providing guidance to the council is the Praeses Consilii, Senatorial Committee Chair and Supervising Senator: D. Aurelius Ingeniarius.
