SENATUS CONSULTUM DE ADIUMENTO SOCIETATIS HISTORICAE ROMANAE ROMAE IN RE PUBLICA ITALICA


Enacted on: a.d. XII Kal. Quint. ‡ Q. Arrio (III) A. Tullia cos. ‡ MMDCCLXXIV a.u.c. (In the year of the consulship of Q. Arrius and A. Tullia, 20th June, 24 ANRC / 2774 AUC / 2021 AD)



After hearing the report of the consular quaestors Cn. Cornelius Lentulus and C. Petronius Stephanus Turpilianus, the senate decrees that Nova Roma shall issue a support statement and shall offer its support to the Roman cultural and reenactment movement, the Gruppo Storico Romano and its candidate for mayor as a non-politician, civilian, Roman reenactor candidate in the next city elections in Rome, capital of the Republic of Italy. Roman cultural identity is cherished and promoted by Nova Roma, and the presence of this spirit in the municipal government of the City of Rome, Italy, shall be a celebrated objective desired by the renascent Roman People, the Nova Romans. The support statement shall be written by the consuls with the assistance of their quaestors, in the name of the senate of Nova Roma.
