Agenda

ITEM I The 10th International Grand Convention of Nova Roma Item for Vote
ITEM II The Tax Rate for the Current Year Item for Vote

Proposal Results

ITEM I - Senatus consultum de X Magno Conventu Internationali Novae Romae Ad Fluvium Frigidum habendo

Uti rogas / censeo / consentio = 16 = MHMFF, SLT, CPST, DAI, PAB, QAN, MCMT, PACP, CCCB, TIN, IAP, AVC, PPL, CFCA, CCL, MAC

Comments:

DAI: I am pleased to see the senate revoking legislation that is no longer valid. We have a habit of releasing new legislation without addressing the status of those in the past. Thank you for including the revocation of that past senatus consultum.
MCMT: It is a pity that the planned conventus in Hispania was cancelled but I am happy that a substitute event was organized.
PPL: This is simply making the best of a bad situation.

Antiquo = 1 = TDD

Comments:

TDD: This is unfair to any Nova Romans who were already making plans for the events we had previously approved. Next convention should be barred from taking place in Europe. Our conventions should never revolve around other organizations plans. Maybe if it didn't take six months to convene the Senate, we could have planned appropriately.

Abstineo = 0

CENSUERE - ENACTED

ITEM II - Senatus consultum de tributis P. Aurelio et C. Flavio coss.

Uti rogas / censeo / consentio = 16 = MHMFF, SLT, CPST, DAI, PAB, QAN, MCMT, PACP, CCCB, TIN, IAP, AVC, PPL, CFCA, CCL, MAC

Comments:

DAI: We were tardy in our release of this senatus consultum. We all share this blame. Nova Roma has set a precedence for the renewal timeframe of the tax period, with payments to be made by July 1. Leaving it linger is disruptive and causes confusion for the Republic. The senate must consider implementing meaningful legislation to capture scenarios, just like this one, where we consider an automatic renewal of the tax rates should the senate be unable or unwilling to release a renewing legislation. This will also save us, from what has been, unnecessary work for many of the last few years.
MCMT: The current tax rates are fair and law. I agree to keep them.

Antiquo = 1 = TDD

Comments:

TDD: We should not be determining tax rates without a full financial report in front of us first. This is fiscally irresponsible. Maybe if it didn't take six months to convene the Senate, we could have planned appropriately.

Abstineo = 0

CENSUERE - ENACTED
